Tetra Tech has added an enterprise technology and management consulting business to its federal IT practice. The business also focuses on government and highly regulated infrastructure.
By acquiring LS Technologies, Tetra Tech will add approximately 500 employees to work on digital transformation efforts across areas such as data analytics and cybersecurity. Other terms of the deal announced Thursday were not disclosed.
Founded in 2000, LS Technologies’ primary customer is the Federal Aviation Administration, and the company supports programs that contribute to the agency’s ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts.
LS received approximately $129.7 million in unclassified prime contract debt in the subsequent 12 months, according to Govtribe data.
For Tetra Tech, the acquisition of LS represents the latest in a series of acquisitions over the past decade to build a federal technology business that also has potential synergies with highly regulated sectors, including infrastructure.
In January 2023, Tetra Tech announced the acquisition of Amyx to bring in more application development and cybersecurity products. Tetra Tech purchased his two products in 2022, centered around energy management and climate science.
Tetra Tech recorded U.S. federal revenue of approximately $1.4 billion in its most recent fiscal year, which ended Oct. 1, according to its 2023 fiscal year report to shareholders. This accounts for approximately 31% of total sales.
