According to Reuters, India's ambassador to France said that Safran is willing to cooperate in developing fighter jet engines in India and share technology.
Relations between France and India have been strengthened by a 25-year plan to deepen cooperation in the defense, nuclear and space sectors. Last year, Prime Minister Modi was invited to attend Bastille Day celebrations and unveiled plans to acquire additional submarines from French Naval Group and 26 naval Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation.
French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday attended a meeting of distinguished guests, including Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, Safran SA CEO Olivier Andries, and executives from EDF SA and Dassault Aviation SA. He arrived in Jaipur with a large delegation.
