The Santa Maria Public Library recently announced that a wide range of programs and resources beyond traditional services will be available in March.
Free craft workshops for adults
The Santa Maria City Public Library will host free craft workshops for adults in the library’s Learning Loft in March. The library is located at 421 South McClelland St.
The craft program is free and all materials will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required. Patrons interested in these workshops can register by visiting the library’s online event calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library or by calling 805-925-0994 ext. 8562.
The Program is designed for users who are 18 years of age or older.

Technical Help Training Session
The Santa Maria City Public Library will be offering numerous one-on-one technical help sessions in March. Each appointment includes 25 minutes of instruction on topics such as setting up new devices, installing apps, privacy best practices, and enjoying library e-resources at home.
Reservations for technical help may only be made by calling the library at (805) 925-0994 ext. 8562. This program does not include assistance with hardware repairs, virus removal, financial transactions, or applications that require the user to enter sensitive information. All sessions will be held in the Library’s Learning Loft.

The Santa Maria Smart City, Safe City program will help teach people how to bridge the digital divide through educational support using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
