RALEIGH, N.C. (March 6, 2024) – Wake Tech has announced that Dr. Keith Babszczak, Dean of the IT Program and RTP Campus, has been named a 2024-25 Fulbright U.S. Scholar in the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru International Educational Administrators Program. Fulbright Scholar Awards are competitive fellowships that provide scholars with unique opportunities to teach and conduct research abroad. Fulbright scholars also play an important role in U.S. public diplomacy, establishing long-term relationships between people and nations.
Dr. Babuszczak will be visiting India from March 8th to 24th, joining a group of distinguished faculty and administrators who will visit universities around Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, as well as participate in cultural excursions and presentations. Masu.
He said he was excited about the opportunity to learn about the country’s higher education system.
“Wake Tech serves a diverse student body and many of our industry partners have a strong presence in India,” he said. “His RTP campus at Wake Tech in Morrisville is a hub for the community, and since people of Indian descent make up more than a third of the town’s population, he especially wanted to use this trip to learn more about India. I want to learn more about the life and culture.”
Dr. Babuszczak hopes to use what he learned from this trip to develop international seminars, improve global perspectives within IT curricula, and host joint events with students and institutions in India.

Fulbright Scholars are selected based on academic and professional accomplishments, work history, and leadership in their fields.
Dr. Babszczak, an Eagle Scout, received his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He earned a master’s degree in information science and learning technology from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and a doctorate in education from Sage University in Albany, New York.
Dr. Babuszczak is Wake Tech’s third Fulbright Scholar. Princess Solomon, Director of International Services and Admissions Records, was selected for the program in 2019. Santrelle Cason, Director of Admissions and Outreach, was named a Fulbright Scholar in 2011.
