Amply Discovery Limited, a spin-out from Queen’s University, was established over three years to commercialize an innovative drug discovery platform developed by researchers in Queen’s University’s School of Biological Sciences.
The company is advancing the discovery of treatments for cancer, metabolic diseases, and infectious diseases through AI and synthetic biology, making new drug discovery more predictable and less costly. The company’s technology platform has been the subject of research and development for more than a decade.
The company is currently focused on two flagship research and development programs that provide technical validation of its development platform.
The first program to focus on RNAi therapies to tackle highly genetically mediated cancers has received £835,000 of funding from Innovate UK and Innosuisse to develop new RNAi therapies for acute myeloid leukemia. Awarded.
The second program focuses on inhaled antimicrobial therapy to combat multidrug-resistant (MDR) lung infections and will receive 602,000 from Innovate UK to develop new nebulized antimicrobial products for MDR-TB. Pounds of funding was awarded.
