Tyson Fury abruptly ended a YouTube interview after warning Oleksandr Huyk’s manager that he would call his wife Paris a bitch.
The Gypsy King was speaking with Ariel Helwani after withdrawing from his bout with Usyk due to an injury he sustained above his eye while sparring.
He was joined by Saudi Arabia’s top boxing coach, Turki Alarusik, and Usyk and his manager Egis Klimas also joined the chat remotely.
In an exclusive chat, it was revealed that a new date for the highly anticipated heavyweight bout has been set for May 18th.
Fury was furious after Wisk manager Egis Klimas called Fury a “coward” for sidestepping the original February 17 agreement.
“Tyson Fury is an extremely coward who will do anything to avoid facing Usyk,” Klimas said after Friday’s cancellation.
“And he told his buddy to hit him in the forehead with a frying pan. You can quote me word for word on that.
“When this news came to Oleksandr, he just smiled. That’s all he did. He is too mentally strong to be broken. I have been waiting for this moment. .”
Fury brought up the remark in an interview, saying: “Don’t ever call me a coward again.
“I have fought 35 professional fights in my career, have been boxing for 18 years, and have come off the canvas 10 times to win against the biggest punchers in history.
“I’m not a coward, and I’ve never backed down from anyone in my life.
“If someone calls my wife horrible, I’ll pull their horrible teeth out.”
Kilmas was angrily pointing at the camera and mocking Fury.
And he answered frankly, “I’m not saying your wife is terrible.”
Fury replied, “Well, I apologize for that, because I thought you were talking about my wife, but please don’t call me a coward.
“How can you call me a coward when I’ve never boxed in my life?”
Mr. Kilmas shot back: “May 18th, you will be Finito.”
Fury didn’t stop there, adding, “You all work for me, you ugly brats.”
He then jumped up and ran away from the camera as Saudi Arabia’s leader Turki Alalshik chased him.
Helwani asked Kilmus if he regretted calling Fury a “coward,” to which Kilmus replied, “I still feel the same way.”
Fury, 35, admitted he was “absolutely shocked” by the injury on Friday, but insisted he was in “great condition”.
He was elbowed while sparring and received 11 stitches.
The new game date will be May 18, exactly three months after the original game was scheduled.
Alarusik confirmed the news and the bizarre bet between the pair, saying: “We have postponed it to May 18th and we guarantee both fighters £10m if anyone walks away from the fight.”
“It lets the whole world know if someone is scared.”
He also clarified that any payments would come from the fighters’ bank accounts and not from Saudi Arabia.
With four heavyweight titles on the line, this bout could crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.
