BBC BREAKFAST viewers were left furious with Naga Munchetty after what was described as the show’s “worst interview”.
The 49-year-old journalist and anchor hosted today’s episode alongside Charlie Staite.
Both presenters updated viewers on the latest news and reactions from yesterday’s budget news.
And during the show, Beeb bosses invited shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves to appear on the show.
Before the interview began, Naga asked the congressman what he would have done if he were in charge of the budget.
The outspoken host slammed Rachel for “not answering” her direct questions.
Mr. Naga looked down and said to her: “I didn’t ask you what you would do.”
As the interview progressed, Munchetty repeatedly interrupted Reeves, leaving BBC Breakfast viewers frustrated.
Fans on social media branded it a “weak interview” by Naga, with one even calling it “the worst interview the BBC has ever done”.
One poster wrote, “Naga, please stop interrupting and arguing with Rachel Reeves. Some people want to hear her opinion on the budget. Don’t hunt her down later. You probably won’t!!” he posted.
