Sir Elgin interviewed her husband in S4C’s post-match coverage.
Elgin is married to Ireland defense coach Simon Easterby, who was part of his trade with the Scarlets during his playing days. The pair have been married for nearly 19 years, but their paths crossed during the post-match coverage of Ireland’s 31-7 win over Wales.
Jonathan Davis was cornered by Elgin when Easterby arrived and said, “You’ve got a bit of a drag on you, haven’t you? Drag him away from them!”

“I don’t know how to do an interview,” Elgin exclaimed, admitting that he felt a little awkward.
“Good luck, sir!” Easterby reassured.
“Congratulations Simon Easterby! 3 out of 3 in the tournament. You’re happy, aren’t you? It took a lot of effort to get there,” she asked.
The pair chatted about the game for about four minutes, with Elgin even joking that “this was the best time I’ve talked about rugby with my husband in 20 years.”
At the end of the interview, Elgin said: “It wasn’t as awkward as I thought it would be, it was actually much better.
“Did you pick up some black socks to match your suit later?”
“I think so,” Easterby replied.
Jiffy added: “That’s the important thing, she says! You can’t be dressed wrong tonight, Simon!”
On TV after the match, the couple hugged each other before the interview ended in a very bright moment.
