At this year’s Saturn Awards, Star Trek: The Next Generation Received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Brent Spiner attended the event with his other co-stars to celebrate his return for the Saturn Award-winning film. Star Trek: Picard. TrekMovie spoke briefly with the actor about Data’s return. Picard and whether he would be interested in playing the character again. There’s also the latest information that Spiner will be bringing back another character from the past.
Gene Roddenberry also received the same Saturn Lifetime Achievement Award. You know Gene and he created the character of Data. What would he think about how Data evolved through his TNG, into the movies, and now? Picard?
He would think everything went according to plan. Because when I first met him, one of the things he said to me from the beginning was, “What I want for Data is for him to become more and more human as time goes on, and by the end… is to become human.” largely Human, but still not human. ” I think that’s where we are now.

So for the last data, Picarddo you see him as an evolution of Data rather than a new, separate character?
He is truly an evolutionist. I think what’s interesting is that I’ve been trying to become data for years and years. And now, in the latest iteration, Data has started to resemble me in a way.
What did you try to maintain about Roa in your performance in your last episode as Data? What were you trying to hold back on your bad side?
Actually, of the two characters, Data and Roa, I like Roa much more. Actually, Roa was easy to play because it’s evil. So they said, “Well, let yourself go and be yourself.” So, I get it!

If there was an opportunity to do more with this character, it seems like everyone else would be on board, but if so, would you be on board too? heritage Has it ever happened?
I don’t want to consider it. This is just a hypothesis at this point.Another thing I’m happy about E.R. if they want to do it [laughs]. I just like working. Certainly, if they came to me and I wasn’t doing anything else, I’d do it.

Brent Spiner’s return to Star Trek is still unknown, but he is expected to reprise another character from the past.
