Talk show host Bill Maher said he refused to air a previously recorded interview with Ye, the superstar rapper formerly known as Kanye West, because of anti-Semitic remarks. .
Maher said in an interview with TMZ on Monday that Ye is “helping spread fertilizer” of the idea that “Israel and Jews are like the worst people in the world.”
Over the past two years, Mr. Yeh has been a guest on the controversial show “Infowars” praising Hitler and blaming “Jewish media” and “Jewish Zionists” for various Hitler controversies. He has repeatedly made Jewish statements. He once threatened that in 2022 he would “carry out the death penalty against Jews.”
The rapper lost his $1.5 billion contract with Adidas over his comments and was generally ostracized from the media. He posted an apology in Hebrew in December, but he was criticized as tone-deaf.
Ma revealed that he had a two-hour sit-down interview with Ye in the midst of his controversial HBO series “Real Time with Bill Maher.” He did not specify when exactly the interview was filmed.
“I thought it would be a learning moment,” Maher said. “So we were here for two hours. We had a great time, by the way.”

Still, he said he would not air the interview because “I’m not going to contribute to this.”
