Washington Commanders general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn spoke Tuesday as NFL integration officially begins. In case you were wondering, neither of them really dug into who they would be going with at the quarterback position.
Quinn was asked about the qualities he would like to see in a QB. He listed them in the following order: Mental and physical toughness – how to stand up against rushes, etc. Next comes accuracy on deep balls, which leads to explosive plays. And a QB who can get through bad plays with his feet.

Certainly, Quinn exhibited some of the standard criteria needed to be successful in today’s NFL, but each of the qualities Quinn mentioned qualify each of the top three quarterback prospects in the draft. There is a possibility that But more importantly, Quinn’s criteria certainly applies to Jaden Daniels and Drake Maye.
