IGM’s Adrian Mikhalshyshyn reflects on the founding of the Kasparov Chess Foundation:
“The journey of the KCF Academy to date has been exciting and promising.Despite some initial fears, we have launched with great success and are proud to support our young players and their dedicated trainers. We have quickly established ourselves as a valuable resource for “We recognize the challenges trainers face with limited time” , and we have stepped in as a supportive and trustworthy program. In chess, unlike many other sports, formal training programs at all levels are not readily available. KCF Academy bridges this gap beautifully because we understand the importance of structured training for success!
We’re excited to welcome new subscribers to our program because they can seamlessly enroll in the program at any time on our app. A bright future for outstanding chess is here!”

Join us for an interview with Grandmaster Elisabeth Paetz, one of Germany’s strongest female chess players since her youth. By the way, in German this name is spelled Pähtz and pronounced Peitz (because it rhymes with “bait”).
In 2002, Paez was the World Youth Champion for Girls Under 18, and in 2005 she was the World Junior Women’s Champion. She won her 2018 European Women’s Championship with Rapid Her Chess. In 2022, Paetz became the first German woman to receive the FIDE Grandmaster title.
