Drake Maye will reportedly not pitch at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Fellow top quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Jalen Daniels are also expected to miss the pitching and testing portions of the combine.
Marvin Harrison Jr., the best non-quarterback in the draft, has no plans to participate in the combine. Despite the NFL’s best efforts to turn the combine into a high-profile event, elite players seem to know they have little choice but to skip.
Skipping workouts is a valid logic, especially for quarterbacks. At pro day, quarterbacks are given the opportunity to throw to a facility and to familiar receivers. The combinations are more random and therefore more likely to result in performance differences.
Williams, Maye and Daniels are all top-10 locks and could be the first three players acquired in April. Williams is the overwhelming favorite to win No. 1 overall, so May and Daniels could be competing for just one spot between them.
Maye felt his numbers took a noticeable step back from 2022, but he still threw for 3,608 yards and 24 touchdowns against nine interceptions last season, with 449 yards on the ground and nine scores. Added.
B/R’s scouting department rates him as the top quarterback in the 2024 class, ranking him No. 3 overall, one spot ahead of Williams.
