The New York Giants reportedly hosted a second interview Saturday with Baltimore Ravens defensive backs coach Denard Wilson for the vacant defensive coordinator position.
According to Adam Schefter, Wilson took advantage of the Ravens’ off day before Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs for three interviews. He also interviewed with the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans. The interviews with the Rams and Titans were obviously his first interviews with those teams.
Wilson, 41, has been in the NFL as a coach or scout since 2008. This will be his first season with the Ravens after spending two years as the defensive backs coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Previously, Wilson was the defensive backs coach for the New York Jets from 2017 to 2020.
Wilson has never been a defensive coordinator. Some thought the Eagles, who hired and ultimately fired Sean Desai, should have given the job to Wilson last offseason.
