Disturbing footage of Andrew Scott being interviewed about a nude scene in Barry Keoghan’s Saltburn on the BAFTA red carpet has come under fire on social media.
On Sunday night, the Fleabag star made a guest appearance at this year’s BAFTAs, where his latest film All of Us Strangers won six awards, including the British Film Award and Best Performance by co-star Paul Mescal. Nominated.
Upon entering the event, Andrew spoke briefly to the BBC, but things took an awkward turn after he was asked about his friendship with Saltburn star and fellow Irish performer Barry Keoghan.
“I know Barry, yes!” Andrew replied when asked about the Saltburn star, prompting a BBC reporter to quickly explain his reaction when he first saw the naked dance scene at the end of “Saltburn.” ” he asked.
The BBC’s red carpet reporter tried to deflect the question, then added: how well do you know him? ”
At that point, Andrew tried to laugh off the question and then started talking to another journalist on the red carpet.
But after a clip of the exchange started circulating on X (formerly Twitter), racking up nearly 100,000 views in just a few hours, many users took issue with the BBC’s questionable question policy.

At the awards ceremony, Andrew and his fellow All of Us Strangers actor Paul Mescal presented the award for Best Animated Feature to Studio Ghibli’s latest film, The Boy and the Heron.
