A new spy camera that allows you to see inside cars is being tested in 10 parts of the UK.
These clever cameras detect if you’re using your phone or sitting down. They are being tried by 10 police teams across the country.
Various cameras are mounted on cars and trailers to closely observe drivers. Express.co.uk reports that they want to install these cameras high up, like speed cameras, to give them a better view of all lanes.

Police forces in Durham, Greater Manchester, Humberside, Staffordshire, West Mercia, Northamptonshire, Wiltshire, Norfolk, Thames Valley and Sussex are trialling the gadgets.
Testing began on February 19th and is expected to last more than a year, at least until March 2025. National Highways Commissioner Matt Staton said these new cameras would help make roads safer.
“We know that distracted driving and not wearing seatbelts are key factors in numerous incidents resulting in death or serious injury,” he said.
“We want to work with our law enforcement partners to reduce this type of dangerous driving and reduce the risks posed to both drivers and other people. I believe this will make people think seriously about their driving behavior.”
“We will continue to invest in technology to ensure everyone who uses our roads gets home safe and healthy.”

Images captured by the camera are processed using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This quickly detects if the driver is using a mobile phone or may not be wearing a seatbelt.
Any potential matches will be handed over to the police for review and fines will be issued if rules are broken.
Highways says drivers who fail to wear seatbelts can be fined up to £500 and given demerit points.
However, using a mobile phone behind the wheel is a more serious offense and road users can be charged £1,000 and given six penalty points.
The technology was first trialled on national highways in 2021, with violators receiving only a warning letter.
Dr Jamie Aff, technical director at AECOM, said: “Our research to date highlights the scale of the problem, shows that technology can play a valuable role and, given new insights, It showed that there is still a lot to understand.” I got it. ”
