Mobile World Congress brings nearly all of the world’s biggest technology companies to Barcelona each year to showcase the latest and greatest in mobile technology. This year is no different, with many major brands already previewing their announcements ahead of the show’s official opening on Monday, February 26th.
This year, we’re going there in person, armed with our laptops, cameras, and a hunger for the next big thing. Since it’s Barcelona, there’s also tapas and beer.

So what can we actually expect from this show? Let’s put on our hard hats and dive into the rumor mill.
Nothing Phone 2 was released in July 2023. Little is known about the 2A, but it is expected to be released in March.

Since this is a mobile-focused show, it’s safe to assume we’ll see new phones from a variety of brands. In a normal year, we would see announcements from companies such as Nokia, TCL, Honor, and many others, so we expect new announcements this time as well. In fact, Honor has already confirmed that it will launch its flagship Magic 6 Pro on his February 25th.
London-based mobile brand Nothing was rumored to be announcing a new phone, the Nothing Phone 2A, at MWC, but the company has now confirmed that the launch event will take place on March 5th, so technically speaking is out of MWC timing. Still, it’s close enough to deserve a mention on this list.

Motorola’s amazing folding concept
Last year, Motorola gave us a great concept phone with a rollable display that automatically extends out of the phone. The company hasn’t commented on whether it will actually be released, but it was an exciting product to see in person.
Back in October, Motorola teased another kind of bendable device: a cell phone that could be worn like a bracelet. The company hasn’t said anything about launching this concept as an actual product, but we have high hopes that it will be shown off in person at his MWC, and we’ll actually see it in our hands (on our wrists). ) I’m excited to have it.

OnePlus concept and Watch 2
Speaking of concepts, OnePlus has a great track record of showing off quirky concept versions of its devices at shows. Last year, we got the water-cooled version of the OnePlus 11 flagship. The company has not yet announced any new concepts for this year’s show, but expect to see something unusual on display.
However, the actual product may be available from the company in the form of OnePlus Watch 2. The company’s first generation wearable was launched in 2021, but it didn’t leave much of an impression. We don’t know anything about the watch itself, but there are rumors that it will be unveiled at the show. Fans, please pay attention.

Smart ring and mixed reality headset
Samsung teased its next wearable, the Galaxy Ring, at January’s Galaxy Unpacked event, but little has been seen so far. Maybe Samsung will show off more of the ring during the show, or at least let you wear it. Or maybe keep his cards close to his chest.
Either way, big technology announcements like this tend to spark similar ideas from other players, and it’s very likely we’ll see similar wearables from other brands at the show. It remains to be seen whether these will take the form of rings or whether there will be a sudden influx of smart necklaces and smart nose piercings.

But the same could be true for mixed reality and spatial computing headsets. His Vision Pro for Apple has been making waves in the tech world and managed to impress even the very own Scott Stein, who called it a “shocking look at the unfinished future.” I was there. Xiaomi has made clear its plans to enter the automobile market from 2021, and announced its first EV, the Xiaomi SU7, at the end of last year. Xiaomi plans to become one of the world’s top five automakers, so we highly hope this vehicle will somehow feature as part of the company’s 2024 MWC showcase. .
