The Gen AI upgrade tool allows users to create presentations using artificially generated art. They can also produce large amounts of photorealistic images, and unlike OpenAI tools, content created by Google tools is unlikely to get you into legal trouble.
Vertex AI and Duet AI also give organizations more control over capturing information within their workspaces. You can understand information from multiple formats, including text, audio, video, images, and programming code.
No matter what information a model has, it can understand and summarize things, provide logical reasoning suggestions, plan tasks, and code. Google believes these tools will improve your workflow productivity.
As mentioned earlier, instead of fearing Gen AI technology, employees should embrace it to enhance their skills and become a valuable asset to the company.
Digital public infrastructure + AI
Since the introduction of Aadhaar in 2009, more than 90% of the population has a bank account.
Additionally, more than 50% of transactions are now cashless thanks to Unified Payment Interface (UPI() technology). In 2023, UPI-based transactions in India grew by 44% year-on-year to Rs 11,800 billion, or over Rs 182 million in value. India accounts for nearly 50% of the world’s online transactions.
These digital public infrastructures (DPIs) have significantly contributed to the formalization of India’s banking economy.
And now, with Gen AI, we can make such DPI efficient and more affordable to the masses.
Dr. Jeff Dean believes that artificial intelligence can transform both healthcare and education in India and around the world.
“We are already starting to see glimpses of what is possible, but I think there will be much more possible in certain areas of education and health. AI will personalize education and make it more accessible. “We can help physicians make more informed medical decisions,” said Dr. Jeff Dean.
Does Gen AI technology need regulation?
Dr. Varma believes that governments should regulate the quality of AI-powered services rather than trying to regulate the technology itself.
Jeff Dean also reiterated that governments should focus on application-specific regulation and the development of AI solutions that are unbiased, interpretable, and aligned with sound AI principles for the benefit of society as a whole.
