The world’s tallest Lego minifigure has been unveiled at Legoland Windsor Resort, and her creators say she will literally be the one children will “aspire to”. At 30 feet tall and weighing more than 6 tons, Roxy stands out across the park.
Dressed in a colorful racing suit, Roxy is the mascot for the resort’s new Minifigure Speedway roller coaster. This roller coaster has a double track layout and will open on Easter. The model makers spent three days assembling the figure and said it was a “dream come true” to see her idea become reality.
Hannah ‘Faiz’ Fizzakure, lead creative for Minifigure Speedway at Legoland Windsor Resort, said: I grew up playing with Lego and visiting parks, so it feels very special to be part of the team that dreamed up real Lego characters. ”
“Roxy is a strong female role model, and it was important to us to literally create an iconic character that children can look up to.”
“Minifigure Speedway brings a real thrill element to the park, especially for older kids who love the competition of competing against each other as one of the All-Stars and Legends.” Helen, Department Director, Legoland Windsor Resort Bull added that the entire team “can’t wait for everyone to meet her.”
