England open the 2024 Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup with a rematch of last year’s semi-final against South Africa.
Heather Knight’s side narrowly lost by six points to the eventual runners-up in the 2023 tournament, and were drawn in their group at this year’s tournament in Bangladesh, where they will once again face South Africa.
Former champions West Indies will host Bangladesh, with one of the two qualifying teams forming the remaining Group B, with reigning champions Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and another qualifying team. Configure group A.
England play their opening match in Dhaka on October 3, before facing the hosts at the same venue two days later, followed by a match against West Indies on October 12.
The group stage will conclude with the qualifying rounds on October 14, the semi-finals on October 17 and 18, and the final in Dhaka on October 20.
England are aiming to host their first T20 World Cup since the inaugural edition in 2009.
Scotland and Ireland are among the 10 teams vying for the final two spots in the qualifying tournament, which is currently being held in Abu Dhabi.
