Australians are going crazy over a “genius” new product they’re calling a “must-have” product, with the $5 product already selling out across the country.
Kmart’s fly fan ($5) is an easy solution to keeping pests at bay.
Australia’s recent warm weather has caused an outbreak of flies, and millions of people are looking for solutions to keep them away.
Hundreds of shoppers have raved about this 5-star purchase, with many thankful they no longer have to use edible nets or musty repellents.
“An entertainer’s best friend,” one claimed. ‘Really nice. It keeps annoying insects and flies away not only during meals but also when entertaining. ”
The insect repellent’s propeller blades have special dots that create movements that scare away flies.
Kmart’s affordable product, which has been compared to Shoeaway’s Fly Fan ($24.99), has shoppers flocking to the department store because of its low price.
Many have also revealed that Fun’s chemical-free aspect is particularly appealing.
You can also use this fan for outdoor gatherings such as barbecues and picnics, or if you want to spend some quiet time reading under a tree.
It requires two AA batteries to power the portable device, but it’s lightweight and can easily be thrown into a tote bag or picnic basket.
“I originally bought it for Christmas, but now I use it almost every day,” said one person.
“This little beauty is amazing. There are no flies on her food, even at summer barbecues,” her mother wrote.
Some people also appreciated the fact that they did not get injured even if they accidentally hit the fan’s soft blades.
“A very easy and affordable solution that really does not disappoint,” the man wrote.
Another long-term solution to ensure flies are kept away from your home is to install a fly trap outdoors to keep the insects away from your kitchen and family.
Tiffany, from Perth, bought a hanging fly net catcher and used rotting fruit as bait.
Flies are attracted to rotten fruit more than other substances because of the high concentration of acetic acid, one of the main products produced in fruit fermentation.
Tiffany’s clever hack prevents hundreds of flies from entering her home.
‘well done! There are no more flies in the backyard,” she said. “This is amazing.”
Many appreciated the helpful tips of the ladies.
‘Wow, thank you! ‘ said one person. “I have to try this. It eats me alive.”
