The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a prize fund of Rs 1.25 crore for India’s T20 World Cup winning team, led by captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid. From this hefty prize money, 15 players, including three who did not play a single match – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson – will each receive Rs 5 crore, according to a report in the Indian Express.
Dravid, whose tenure as India’s national team coach ended with the T20 World Cup, will also receive Rs 5 crore from the prize money, while reports said Dravid’s coaching staff — batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip and bowling coach Paras Muhambray — will receive Rs 2.5 crore each.

From the total prize money, a cash prize of Rs 2 crore will also be awarded to the backstage staff, including three physiotherapists, three slowdown specialists, two masseuses and physical fitness coach Soham Desai.
Reserve players for the T20 World Cup – Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Khalil Ahmed – along with five members of the BCCI senior selection committee led by president Ajit Agarkar will reportedly receive Rs 1 crore each.
According to the report, the breakdown is as follows:
50 million rupees – 15 players and head coach Rahul Dravid (16×5)
2.5 million rupees per person – Batting, Fielding and Bowling Coach (3×2.5)
2 crore per person. – Physiotherapist, slowdown specialist, masseuse, strength training and conditioning coach (9×2)
1 crore – Selectors and reserve players (9×1)
A portion of the prize money will also be awarded to World Cup video analysts and BCCI staff, according to reports.
