Impressive drone footage was captured as the world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, set sail on its maiden voyage from Miami on Saturday, January 27th.
Fireworks were seen as the 1,198-foot (365-meter) ship departed the Port of Miami for a seven-day itinerary around the Eastern Caribbean region.
Icon of the Seas can accommodate approximately 10,000 passengers and crew on 20 decks.
It overtook its sister ship, the Wonder of the Seas, to become the world’s largest ship.
The luxury liner has eight ‘areas’ on board, each with its own unique experience, as well as seven swimming pools and over 40 restaurants and bars.
