Véronique Gauthier, global president of Armani Beauty since 2010, has announced that she will be stepping down from her role and leaving the L’Oréal Group, which has held the Italian brand’s beauty product license since 1988.

“After 40 years in the industry, it’s time to say goodbye to 13 years as President of Armani Beauty at L’Oréal. I cannot begin this new adventure without thanking all of my former ‘friends along the way’ and mentors. I can’t,” Gauthier posted on his LinkedIn account.
Gauthier began her business career in 1984 in Chanel’s beauty department. He joined the Catalan group Puig in 1988 to work on the Rabanne fragrance, and then joined Cartier, where he was in charge of fragrance marketing. From 2000 to 2008, Gauthier was at Hermès, first as CEO of the fragrance division and then of the leather goods division. In September 2008 she was appointed president of Jean Paul Gaultier and she joined L’Oréal two years later. In a LinkedIn post, she specifically paid tribute to Giorgio Armani, with whom she worked for several years. Ms. Gauthier is currently starting her own consulting company.
In 2018, L’Oréal and Armani renewed their licensing agreement until 2050. Armani Beauty is part of the luxury division of L’Oréal His Group. The company commercializes perfumes, especially skin care products, make-up products, and he is one of L’Oréal’s multi-billion euro licenses.
