Brits have been warned that there are almost 100,000 water-saving devices available for free which could save them hundreds of pounds.
Money-saving experts have urged people to find out what free services are available to help cut their bills.
With the cost of living crisis and continued rising costs, any helpful information is welcome.
Homes in many parts of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland can receive insulation and water-saving devices for free, MSE reports.
These include a showerhead which helps regulate water usage and usually cost around £20.
In the UK, tap inserts that regulate the water flow are also available and can usually be bought from as little as £5.
Another big money saver is a rainwater collection tank for your garden, which can cost as much as £20.
You might also be able to get some inexpensive items like garden hose nozzles or shower timers to help you make a little extra money.
The Energy Saving Trust suggested that replacing an inefficient showerhead could cut gas and water bills for a family of four by £30 each per year.
According to Money Saving Experts, one of each gadget could be distributed to every household.
It depends on which water company you contract with and where you live.
It is managed by water efficiency company Save Water Save Money.
Bristol Water and South East Water offered free gifts online through ‘Save Water Save Money’.
All customers have to do is enter their postcode in the “free water saving device” box, provide their details and the device will be delivered.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth Water, Cambridge Water, Dour Cymru, Guernsey Water, Hafren Dyffrdoi, Portsmouth Water, SES Water, Severn Trent, South Staffs Water, South West Water, Wessex Water, NI Water, Jersey Water, Scottish Water, United Utilities and Yorkshire Water are requiring customers to use the Save Water Save Money savings calculator.
Affinity Water, Anglian, Essex & Suffolk, Southern Water and Northumbrian sometimes offer free items on their websites.
But Thames Water no longer offers the gadget for free.
