British India: Hampton Court Palace is offering a virtual reality experience about the 1947 Partition of British India as part of the ongoing Indian Army Palace Exhibition. In this docudrama-style experience, two men, an Indian Hindu who migrated to India from Pakistan and a Pakistani Muslim who traveled the other way, share their experiences while playing board games together. big garden bird clock: Help the RSPB monitor London's bird populations by taking part in Big Garden Birdwatching. If you are lucky enough to have a garden or outdoor space, spend an hour counting and recording the number and species of birds that visit and report it to the RPSB. Frost Fair: London's historic Frost Fair returns with Bankside Frost Fair, a three-day event that mimics the days when the River Thames was once frozen over. Theater tour: London's “oldest new theater” opens its doors for tours. Take a tour of Alexandra Palace Theater with your guide. Battersea Light Festival: For the second year in a row, a Festival of Lights will be held in the area around Battersea Power Station, with a month-long display of glowing artwork on site. The seven installations include a giant diamond, a glowing butterfly, a playable light piano, and a cycling light battle. cute: The world of cute culture is put under a microscope in Somerset House's new exhibition 'Cute', designed in partnership with Sanrio to celebrate Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary. Family movie club: This week, Barbican Cinema's Family Film Club will be hosting a special preview of Dutch stop-motion film Oink!, due to be released in the UK until later this year. The story is about a 9-year-old girl who is given a piglet by her estranged grandfather, but discovers that her grandfather has ulterior motives. Ocean watch: The world premiere screening of the marine film “Ocean Watch'' was held at the Royal Institution. The footage was recorded on Schmidt Oceanographic Research Institute's state-of-the-art research vessel, R/V Falkor, which is equipped with an underwater robot that can dive to depths of 4,500 meters. Observe underwater ecosystems never seen before with the human eye, including newly discovered species. All of these provide more information about what's under the water. 7pm to 8pm
Australia Day Party: Troxy is hosting the Australia Day London Expat Party, an Australia Day celebration for people Down Under who have lost their homes. Civil war reenactment: The Royalist branch of the British Civil War Society annually commemorates what they call “His Majesty's horrific murder.” Dozens of volunteers in Royalist costume, armed with horsemen and weapons, re-enacted the short final journey from St. James's Palace to the execution scaffold at Banqueting House, Whitehall, before returning to St. Follow the route back to the palace. Kids comedy: Take the whole family to Arts Depot in North Finchley to see Comedy Club 4 Kids. It's just like a regular comedy show, but the jokes are toned down to a tone appropriate for a younger audience. Recommended age is 6 years old and above. 12:00pm/2:30pm

forgotten women: How can we know how poor women lived in the Middle Ages, when historians have largely ignored them? Answer: Walk the Southwark Walk. Guide Laura Agustín tells the story of her six women who lived and worked near the River Thames in Southwark in the 14th century. Mindful Craftanoon: End the week with a mindful crafting session for adults. London-based contributor Momtaz Begum Hossain hosts a creative workshop that encourages you to forget about the stresses of life for a while by focusing on a craft project.
