“The Gadget Show” will return this month after a controversial rebrand, taking over as “The Martin Lewis Money Show.”
Channel 5 bosses have renewed and re-aired the popular series since its debut last year.
Viewers were furious when the broadcaster revealed a new look for the show, which first aired in 2004.
Ahead of the overhaul, hosts including Craig Charles and John Bentley tried out the latest technology and gave viewers their honest reviews.
It was replaced by Shop Smart, Save Money, presented by Gaby Roslin and Ortis Deley.
The two companies aim to help consumers get great deals on the everyday items they use most often.
Meanwhile, consumer journalists Georgie Barratt and John Bentley investigate the most cost-effective ways to live more sustainably.
It will put him on par with money-saving expert Martin Lewis, who hosts his own show on ITV.
‘Shop Smarter and Save Money’ returns on Channel 5 on Wednesday February 28th at 7pm.
Previously, producers released a lengthy statement defending the decision to rebrand the show.
“While our latest series has proven popular, we are aware of some negative feedback regarding recent format changes.
“We understand that sometimes there are mixed reactions to changes, and we appreciate the feedback we have received from our viewers.
“The decision to move to The Good Gadget Guide: Shop Smarter and Save Money was made to appeal to the widest possible audience while providing valuable insights and recommendations in the field of technology. .
“The world of gadgets is constantly evolving and we want to ensure our content remains relevant and valuable to a wide audience.
“Our goal is to strike a balance that appeals to a diverse audience while staying true to our commitment to providing valuable and engaging content in the world of technology.”
