Rachel, who goes by the name Rundown with Rachel, flaunts her figure and shares advice on how to get fit while working “smarter, not harder” on her social media accounts.
The US-based exercise enthusiast has been sweating it out in the gym for years to achieve a toned physique.
But after suffering from bulimia and pain after high-intensity workouts (HIIT), Rachel decided to take a different approach and began cutting back on her workouts to transform her body. This has unlocked the key to looking great while doing simple exercises.
Now, in a new video shared to her YouTube account, Rachel candidly opens up about the workout routine that helped her get into the best shape of her life and what she’s been doing wrong when it comes to exercise.
At the beginning of the clip, Rachel shared a photo of herself from 2019 next to a photo of herself now.
“This is me in 2019. I remember thinking, ‘I’m working out harder and more often than ever before, so why don’t I look like that?'” took a picture.
“To this day, my workouts are easier than ever, they’re more fun than ever, I feel and look better, and I’m doing a little bit more than I used to,” she explained.
Rachel said she is now on a mission to show people that simple workouts are “more effective” than other workouts.
She explained that when she was doing incredibly difficult workouts, she found herself so hungry that she “couldn’t see the end in sight.”
She also said that doing HIIT workouts causes her to wake up earlier in the morning and get less sleep, which results in more inflammation and painful cortisol levels.
The fitness fanatic said she noticed her body had become “slimmer” after changing her mindset and going a few days without strenuous exercise.
Rachel said she had a moment of realization after having to slow down while recovering from surgery.
She started going for long walks and noticed that she felt much better than when she was doing HIIT workouts.
“I was just amazed at how great my body felt and how great my body looked and wondered if this could be possible.”
“Maybe walking actually yields better results than intense training?” There’s no way, just like there’s no way.
“That’s when I started realizing that in some ways, less may actually be more,” she said.
The fitness expert said he felt “incredible” when he slowed down, as the “inflammation” and “abnormal hunger” were gone.
Rachel said her new training routine includes walking and rebounding, as well as jumping on a small trampoline.
She also gushed about the Hamelin Dabel Model Workout, which helps clients practice slow exercises to tone and shape their muscles.
Rachel explained that eating healthy played a huge role in achieving her dream body.
She added that she doesn’t feel the need to overeat because she eats “less” now.
At the end of the video, the content creator said that although his physical condition has improved, he still has moments of anxiety.
She added, “I still deal with body image issues. I sometimes suffer from excessive hunger, especially during the stages of my menstrual cycle when it feels like a bottomless pit.”
