Were they under your tree? A new survey reveals the gadgets online shoppers are most looking for this holiday season, with the iPhone 14 taking the top spot.
Cartridge Save, the printer cartridge experts, analyzed the national search volume behind terms related to phones, devices and gadgets via Google Keyword Planner to name the most searched for and coveted gadgets of the year. I did.
Measured terms included devices such as iPhone 14, Nintendo Switch, Apple Watch, AirPods Max, and PlayStation 5, and were combined with terms such as “purchase,” “offer,” “deal,” and “sale.” It was being done.
And it turns out that the most coveted gadget is the iPhone 14, with an average monthly search volume of 34,675. The iPhone 14, which will be released in September 2022, is the most popular of his six Apple products included in the ranking.
Following in second place was the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with an average monthly search volume of 22,656. The Pro Max is the largest of the iPhone 14 models and features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display.
In third place as the most desirable device was the variant iPhone 14 Pro, with an average monthly search volume of 20,853. The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a variety of special features such as a pro camera system, making it a favorite among Apple enthusiasts.
Nintendo Switch followed in fourth place with an average monthly search volume of 20,624. This console has been a classic since its launch in March 2017 and has yet to be overtaken by new competing models.
Apple Watch ranked 5th with an average of 17,683 searches per month. It’s clear that the Brit is a big fan of his Apple, with the brand accounting for four out of his five most-demanded products.
In sixth place was AirPods, with an average of 9,626 monthly searches for wireless headphones. Despite newer versions from Apple, such as the Pro model and the over-ear headphones Max model, the most basic model reigned supreme in popularity.
The iPhone 15 followed in seventh place with an average monthly search volume of 8,405. Apple’s latest iPhone range, only released in September, has yet to reach the heights of the iPhone 14, but it’s clear that it’s still a popular choice for online shoppers this Christmas.
In 8th place was Amazon Kindle, with an average monthly search volume of 7,223. The e-book reader was first developed in 2007 and is now in its 11th generation and remains popular among UK readers.
Following in ninth place is Xbox Series X, with an average monthly search count of 7,059. The Series X is popular with gamers and remains Microsoft’s most powerful Xbox console to date.
Rounding out the top 10 was the PlayStation 5, with an average monthly search volume of 6,022. The latest version of Sony’s popular gaming console is one of the most popular gadgets this Christmas, adding to PlayStation’s enduring popularity.
Commenting on the findings, Dr Ian Cowley of Cartridge Save said: “Gadgets are always a popular choice at Christmas, whether you’re buying a present for a loved one or want to upgrade your device before the holiday season. Online shopping makes it easy to receive your device quickly and efficiently. Although easier than ever, these purchases are investments and should not be taken lightly.
“There are many things to keep in mind when purchasing a new gadget, including the quality of the product and its suitability to the recipient’s needs. Reading reviews can help you decide if the gadget is worth the money. You can also check the specifications to see if the item has all the features you need.
“Affordability is often one of the most important factors, and comparing prices from different websites is a great way to ensure you get the best deal. Look for sales, discounts, and coupons to save money. Lastly, make sure you buy from reputable sellers and look out for warranties in case something goes wrong.”
