A new update to Slime Rancher 2’s Early Access build brings a major overhaul to the world of Rainbow Island and how you can customize your slime ranch. The new Gadgets My Way update, released on February 8th, expands on the slime and gadget interaction system, comprehensively overhauls the system for building things, and introduces new ways to explore and find your way around the island. Approximately 36 new gadgets will be added.
Perhaps most pressingly, you can now build a giant pinball machine with bumpers that you can shoot slime into and bounce off of. This is clearly a good thing.
That’s because you’ll be able to build gadgets anywhere, and your slime will be able to interact with gadgets everywhere. You can build a theme park in nature for your children to enjoy, or you can build a theme park near your home. You can also place everything, including new decorations and chairs. As part of that, we’ve added some small expansions to all zones around the world.
A big part of the update comes from an overhauled building system and their new gadgets, some of them quite large.
