It was such a lovely time on a dark, damp afternoon to receive a welcome facial at Sleeping Beauty on Alba Street.
I love these beauty treatments and have tried a few, but I had never experienced an Elemis treatment, so I was excited to learn about the benefits of a treatment with the interesting name ‘Progrowth Smooth’. did.
Before we started, my therapist Emily introduced me to Elemis Skin Lab, which uses a combination of cutting-edge technology to perform facial mapping analysis. I then received counseling that provided skin care solutions. This only takes 15 minutes but is really fascinating. Basically, the therapist takes a photo of your face and replaces it with several different images to highlight everything from skin damage and fine lines to dehydration. All this allows her to recommend the best products for each customer. I loved it!
We then moved downstairs to a cozy treatment room where my treatment began. Described as a “HIIT workout for your skin,” this 50-minute process begins with a double cleanse using Energizing Marine Cleanser, followed by Superfood Cica Calm Cleansing Foam and Balancing Lavender Toner. Masu. All products are thoroughly removed with hot mitts. This I always find very therapeutic. Emily carefully explained the benefits of each product as she worked.
Next up is manual exfoliation using the deliciously named Papaya Enzyme Peel. It was a plant-based product and was the last step to prepare my skin for the “hydration” provided by the Pro-Collagen Marine Mask. As I lay in bed and let the magic work, Emily gave me a nice massage of her hands and arms. As someone who spends hours in front of a keyboard, this was a lot of fun.
The face mask was followed by two other products: the Ultimate Hydragel Eye Mask and the Ultimate Lift for Jaws and Jaws. Again, Emily gave me a relaxing décolleté massage as these two products took effect.
After another cleanse with lavender toner, I applied ProCollagen Advanced Eye Cream, ProCollagen Marine Moisture Essence, ProCollagen Rose Oil, and finally ProCollagen Cream SPF 30 (phew!).
When I left the salon and headed out into the evening air, my skin felt noticeably plumper and hydrated, and the next day I could see a visible toned effect.
