Later, when speaking with Captain America/Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Ross tells him, “We haven’t always seen eye to eye, but what you’ve done has made me reconsider.”
“That’s why I need you to help me rebuild the Avengers. This country needs this. Work with me, Sam, and we’ll show the world a better way,” he says.

Originally an economics professor, Volker’s life took a dramatic turn when he joined and eventually became the leader of the criminal organization Serpent Society. Sidewinder’s primary power is teleportation, which he achieves with a mantle bestowed upon him by the Egyptian god Set. This ability allows him to teleport himself and others great distances, making him a formidable foe in the Marvel Universe.
