CCTV footage has been released showing a man plowing into someone with his car, throwing a child to the ground and then shooting a “corrosive liquid” at a mother and her two children.
Nine people were injured in the attack in Clapham, south London, yesterday evening, and an urgent search is underway to find the attacker.
London Fire Brigade said two children and their mother received “immediate first aid” at the scene on Lesser Avenue, just next to Clapham Common.
A couple living on the street said they ran outside after hearing cries for help and a car crash.

The man said, “When I went outside, there was a man. He took the girl out of the car and slammed her to the ground twice.”
“I chased it halfway down the road, but I couldn’t get very far because I was wearing slippers.
“When I came back, I saw the woman who had been attacked, so I went inside to get some water and sprayed her with water.”
Another witness who tried to wash the chemicals off the woman’s face told Sky News: “It was terrifying.” First, a man grabbed a child, a 2- or 3-year-old girl, from a white car.
“He threw her on the floor, twice!” That was the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
“Then I ran into the house, grabbed a water bottle and poured water into her eyes. Her lips were black. Her skin looked burnt.”
The mother was heard crying, “I can’t see, I can’t see,” and a witness described the scene as “very scary,” the BBC reported.
Metropolitan Police Superintendent Alexander Castle confirmed that a woman, child and three adults who were believed to have come to help were taken to hospital.
The responding police officer was also taken to the hospital, but his injuries are believed to be minor.
