Revised fire safety guidelines called for five of the seven buildings proposed on the Chapel Place site to be redesigned with secondary means of evacuation.
The design tweak will add two storeys to the tallest tower, making it 36 storeys, while the other two blocks will have one storey.
Overall, the number of apartments will increase by just over 20 units to 860 units, and the number of student bedrooms will increase by 20 units to 467 units.
