SAMSUNG has unveiled its latest Ring device in public for the first time.
The top-secret wearable was on display for all to see at a major event in Barcelona, but no one could touch it because it was behind a glass panel.
Two designs, silver and gold, were on display.
Samsung Ring is the company’s latest foray into wearable technology aimed at health and fitness enthusiasts.
It is equipped with sensors that track things like sleep and breathing.
The ring also monitors your sleep, including how much you move around and how long it takes you to nod off.
Samsung first showed off the device at its Galaxy S24 launch event in January, but this is the first time it’s been shown publicly.
Hong Park, head of Samsung Electronics’ digital health team, told CNBC that the ring calculates a wearer’s “vitality score” and provides “physical and mental health feedback to see how much more productive you can be.” “We will collect data on the current state of preparedness.”
However, the South Korean tech giant has not yet revealed when the device will be launched.
The company also did not say how much it would cost.

When worn with a Galaxy smartwatch, Ring allows users to obtain a variety of health data.
“Our customers also told us they wanted options,” Park continued.
“We want to be able to use other forms of wearables to measure health status.
“Some people want to wear a watch, some people want to wear a watch and a ring and get the best of both worlds. Some people just want more simplicity.”
However, Samsung could face stiff competition from its biggest rival.
According to recent reports, Apple is working on its own smart ring device.
