it is Girl Meets World Is the casting sweet? I think so!
Sabrina Carpenter has just released two Top Five hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Espresso” was the third highest-charting song of all genres, and “Please Please Please” became her first chart-topper as a pop star.
To celebrate her recent success, her two exes Girl Meets World Co-stars August Maturo and Ava Kolker shared a sweet video on TikTok: “The way you guys know Sabrina and the way we know Sabrina,” Maturo wrote on a video of him and Kolker lip-syncing to “Espresso,” before photos of the two posing with Carpenter on the set of the Disney Channel series appeared on-screen.
“We’ve been fans since 2013 and we’re just catching up,” Maturo captioned the post.
Carpenter celebrated the news of her first-ever Hot 100 No. 1 on Instagram, posting a carousel of three items to her feed last week. The first photo was a graphic of the Hot 100 chart, followed by a video of Carpenter performing the signature claps of “Please Please Please” with co-writer/producer Jack Antonoff, co-lyricist Amy Allen and, off-camera, engineer Laura Sisk.
“My first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100!!!!!!!!!” Carpenter posted on Instagram, “And Espresso at #4… I’m so grateful and will never forget this day! @jackantonoff @amyallen I love this song and I love you both!!!!! I love those pitched claps!!!!! I love @sharp_stick [Sisk] !!!! Three good things: Thank you to everyone who’s listened to these songs and made them so much fun to put out into the world. More to come soon.”
