U.S. athletes won a variety of medals at international and national competitions over the weekend.
Acro Burgas World Cup
After three days of action, a group of American women Mariam Tutberidze (Owings Mills, Maryland/Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer), grace fonder haar (Laurel, Maryland/Emilia’s acro gymnastics and cheering) kayla fonder haar (Laurel, Maryland/Emilia Acro Gymnastics and Cheer) won the individual all-around bronze medal in the team event at the 2024 Burgas World Cup in Burgas, Bulgaria.
The trio scored a total of 27.120 points, taking the bronze medal behind the Belgian group, who placed first with 29.980 points, and the Ukrainian group, who placed second with 28.300 points.
In the pair competition, molly fox (San Diego, California/So Cal TTC) and katie borcherding (Eureka, Missouri/Incentive – AGT) finished in fourth place, just shy of the women’s podium, with a score of 26.930. Belgium (28.250 people), Israel (28.090 people) and Ukraine (27.710 people) took first, second and third place respectively. The American pair Ariana Katsov (Owensville, Missouri/Mid-America Acrotumbling) and mo arthur (Rolla, Missouri/Mid-America Acrotumbling) In the finals, she placed 7th with a score of 25.980.
The men’s pair is Ethan Chan (Columbia, Maryland/Emilia’s acro gymnastics and cheering) david fonder haar (Laurel, Maryland/Emilia Acro Gymnastics and Cheer) In the finals, she placed 8th with a score of 26.310. First place was Kazakhstan (29.200 people), second place was Azerbaijan (28.510 people), and third place was Israel (28.030 people).
PK Montpellier World Cup
At the 2024 Montpellier World Cup in France, the first competition of the season, American parkour athletes achieved three top-10 finishes.
britney durant (Walnut Creek, California) and aiden rudolph (Boston, Massachusetts) each secured a fifth-place finish in the World Cup finals. In the women’s speed final, Durant took fifth place in 43.51 seconds, followed by Sweden’s Miranda Tibring, who took first place in 37.67 seconds. In the men’s freestyle final, Rudolph took 5th place with 28.200 points, followed by Nathanael Trier (France) who took 1st place with 31.70 points.
Two-time World Cup medalist audrey johnson (Greenville, South Carolina) placed 6th in the women’s speed final with a time of 44.24 seconds. She was also active in Karen Chan (Lehi, Utah), Dara De Paolo (Woodstock, Georgia); Matthew Hadley (Colorado Springs, Colorado), george munro (Gilbert, Arizona), Shea Rudolph (Boston, Massachusetts) and Michael Sliger (Broomfield, Colorado).

RG Portimao World Challenge Cup
Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Illinois/North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, IL/North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) each competed in the finals and finished in the top 20 in the individual all-around at the 2024 Portimão World Challenge Cup held in Portugal this past weekend.
In the individual all-around, after two days of qualifying, Griskenas (116.450 points) and Mizuno (115.650 points) placed 17th and 18th, respectively. Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev took first place (135.700 points), independent athlete Alina Harnasco took second place (128.750 points), and Spain’s Alba Bautista took third place (128.200 points).
Griskenas and Mizuno also each advanced to the apparatus finals, with Griskenas finishing sixth in the ribbon final (28.850) and Mizuno eighth in the club final (28.750). Varfolomeev took first place in both ribbon (31.900 points) and club (34.100 points).
T&T Elite Challenge
Trampoline and tumbling athletes gathered in Irving, Texas this weekend for the T&T Elite Challenge, where nearly 40 gymnasts took home titles.
Out of the hundreds of athletes competing in the competition, 14 junior and senior national team members won titles over the weekend. Nicole Arsinger, Paul Brecher, Caden Brown, Mia Bruns, Grace Danley, West Fowler, Lyric Gordon, Ryan McCanyan, Ruben Padilla, Alia Raga, Kennedy Roberts, Derek Ruhl, Aliaksey Shostak and sarah webster.
