Arsenal defeated London City Lionesses 4-0 to advance to the Conti Cup semi-finals.
Manager Jonas Eydewall made seven changes to the squad that lost against Manchester City last weekend, adding Manu Ginsberger, Steph Catley, Lia Verti, Laia Codina, Chloe Lacasse and Stina Blackstenias. , Kim Little have all joined the lineup.

Arsenal got off to a bright start, with Caitlin Ford saving a powerful shot right after the start.

In the 70th minute, Russo came on as a substitute for Blackstenius. Her influence was immediate. Arsenal held the ball patiently, moving the ball from side to side, looking for openings. Mead passed to Mahnum on the right, Mead’s run created space and Mahnum crossed for Russo to jump over the defender and head under Maloney. 4-0.
Mahnum then almost added a goal of his own. Lacasse ran in to a long ball, passed the ball back to Mahnum, and his well-taken shot went straight to Maroney, who made a comfortable save.
Aidevall made his final substitution in the 82nd minute. Vivienne Lear made her debut as Katie McCabe’s replacement. Attacker Leah moved to the left flank, while Lacasse moved to right-back.
Arsenal were camped in London City’s camp for much of the match, and as the match took on the intensity of a training session, the difference in quality was telling, with the two centre-backs proving even more capable. As the game entered six minutes of stoppage time, Leah showed his skill and quality on the left flank.
Codina headed Mead’s shot from a set piece, bringing Arsenal within five points.
