Horner said he hoped the new car would become “the classic car of the future”.
“We are delighted to be unveiling the RB17 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this is one of the most ambitious and exciting projects Red Bull Advanced Technologies has ever undertaken,” he said.
“With 20 years of history in the world of F1 and as a performance-driven organisation, it was only natural that we would design our own hypercar from the ground up. The RB17 is a groundbreaking car, combining technical innovation, proven track record and emotional appeal. I’m incredibly proud of the team and delighted to see this car make its world debut. I hope the RB17 will become a future classic.”

Adrian Newey added: “For many years I have mulled over the idea of taking on the challenge of designing our own hypercar, from concept to delivery and it has been an incredible project and journey.
“It’s fantastic to finally see the RB17 come to life. The RB17 hypercar has everything we aspire to – undeniable power, speed and beauty. Its capabilities are highly adaptable and we’ve designed it as a two-seater so that you can enjoy the thrill of driving at F1 speed with a friend or partner.”
