The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was indeed a fantastic event and one that will go down in history for many reasons.

Finalists
With both previously unbeaten teams facing off in the final, it was clear that the winner would set a new record for the most wins in the tournament. In fact, both India and South Africa finished with eight wins each, although India missed out on a chance to win when their group stage match against Canada was cancelled.
However, India’s 176/7 in the final was the highest by any team in a Men’s T20 World Cup final, just beating Australia’s 173/2 against New Zealand in 2021.
And at 37 years and 60 days, Rohit Sharma became the oldest player to captain a team to T20 World Cup glory.
