Great Britain’s Harriet Harnden leads the women’s competition thanks to her best stage three race in the ‘Super Groppo’ at the opening round of the UCI Enduro World Cup in the Finale Outdoor region of north-west Italy .
2023 overall winner Ysabeau Couldurier took second place after taking an early lead on the first stage, but fell back after a tough third stage. After a tumultuous 2023, Ella Connolly maintained a steady pace throughout the race and took third place on the podium.
The men’s competition was dominated by reigning champion Richie Ruud, winning three of the four stages, including a near-perfect run in the fifth stage DH men’s race. Charlie Murray set solid times on each stage to take second place on the day, with Belgium’s Martin Maes returning to the podium for third and final place.
