Race Across the World viewers are left in shock after seeing the duo lose their passports again.
The latest episode of the BBC reality series saw the team leave Thailand for Malaysia and continue their journey towards their final destination, Lombok.
But Betty, 25, the gym’s social media and events manager, and James, 21, a sales consultant, are a brother and sister from Yorkshire who are on edge 24 hours after leaving the necessary travel documents on a bus. I got into a situation like this.
After taking a bus to a small fishing village in Bagan Sungai Bulong, the two finally went to a homestay and were about to settle down for the night when Betty realized she had made a big mistake.
“Where’s my fanny pack?” she cried, trying to remember where she had last carried it, until her brother pointed out that the bag contained both of their passports.
Without them, the race would have come to an abrupt end as they were about to enter Indonesia.

The bus they were on was scheduled to return to Ipoh city, nearly two hours away.
“We’re heartbroken and heartbroken to lose them,” James said.
The brothers, with the help of their hosts, were told that everything was being done to get their bags back and waited for it to be over.
The next morning, my driver called me and asked me to return to the bus stop, where I could collect my luggage and continue my competition.

“I’m going to enjoy every moment from now on because I don’t know when it’s going to end. And I’m going to give James permission to slap me in the face with his passport or something,” Betty said.
They were clearly relieved, but those watching at home were pulling their hair out.
“But how do I not feel my passport a million times when I’m in a foreign country? “I’m doing it,” Robin posted on X.

“I’m having secondary anxiety from this passport drama and having the exact same stress dreams every other night,” Emily said.
“I’d stick my passport in there. It’s probably the most valuable thing you own. I wouldn’t keep it in a fanny pack that I keep taking off,” Phil added.
Meanwhile, others gave travel tips to avoid making the mistake a third time, and since this wasn’t the first time the two had lost their passports, many couldn’t believe in bad luck. Their travel documents advised them to keep them in items such as bras and socks.
Starting in Japan and en route to Lombok, James faced a traveler’s worst nightmare: almost losing his passport.

In Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, Betty and James stopped on the side of the road to look at a map and decide on the best route to the next checkpoint in Thailand, choosing to go via Battambang.
After making up their minds, they hop into a tuk-tuk, but James discovers that he has lost his passport and his fanny pack containing all his Cambodian money.
They immediately asked the driver to stop, causing James to jump out of the car and step into the street to see if the bag was still there.
By great luck, Cambodian money (totaling £26.04) was stolen, although it was hidden in the bushes.
Race Across the World continues on BBC One next Wednesday at 9pm.
