A think tank has filed a lawsuit against Prince Harry after he admitted to drug use in his tell-all book Spare, and the prince reportedly fears his visa may be revoked.
According to royal experts, Prince Harry finds himself in a “strange and unfamiliar world that is becoming increasingly hostile.”
Royal author and commentator Tom Quinn claims the Duke of Sussex “deeply regrets that his new life in America is being threatened”.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to move from the UK to the US in 2020. The couple were looking to establish a new life after stepping down from their senior royal duties, with the goal of becoming financially independent from the royal family.
But Harry’s past has come back to haunt him: the think tank Heritage Foundation has taken legal action against him after he admitted to drug use in the tell-all book Spare, and applicants must disclose any history of drug use when filling out the form.
In his explosive memoir, Harry opens up about his experiences with magic mushrooms and cannabis.

In his 2023 book Spare, Harry vividly describes his experience with magic mushrooms: “I stared at the container, and the container stared back at me. I thought, ‘What are you staring at?’ And the container… turned into a head. I pressed the pedal, and the head opened its mouth. It was smiling broadly.”
The think tank has since accused Harry of lying about his past drug use on his application to receive preferential treatment, which is currently being reviewed and investigated by Judge Carl Nichols in Washington DC.
In a candid conversation with the US Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn revealed that Prince Harry initially found his new life in America exciting, but now feels the appeal is slowly fading due to the backlash he’s received.
“For Harry’s first six months in the US, everything was new and exciting, but the allure is definitely wearing off,” Quinn says. “No matter how big your garden is – and Harry and Meghan’s is huge at Montecito – there’s only so much you can do if you don’t have any practical skills and you’re always relying on other people to cook, clean and garden. Harry has never done any of those practical things, so after walking the dog in the mornings, he finds the days long and lonely.”
“Meghan is doing her best to support Harry, but she is in her natural environment and Harry is in a strange and unknown world that is becoming increasingly hostile.”
Quinn claimed he was seeking legal advice about what position Prince Harry and Meghan would take if Donald Trump were to return to power.
The expert said: “The couple are seriously concerned that Harry’s visa could be revoked if Donald Trump wins the next election and have sought legal advice. Trump argues that Harry could be asked to leave the country if it is discovered he lied about admitting to drug use on his visa application.”
“Prince Harry initially thought that this couldn’t happen to him because the normal rules don’t apply to royal princes, but he’s gradually realizing that being a prince doesn’t actually matter that much in America. But one thing is certain: Prince Harry deeply regrets going public with his drug use. It never occurred to him that this would threaten his entire life plans.”
