The King waved and smiled at the crowd as he and Queen Camilla left Clarence House.
The Duke of Sussex was photographed for the first time since King Charles’ cancer diagnosis was made public as he arrived in the UK to visit his father.
King Camilla and Queen Camilla were photographed in a car and are currently in the royal estate of Sandringham.
Prince Harry arrived in London on an overnight flight from the United States.
Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that the 75-year-old king has been diagnosed with a type of cancer and will step back from royal duties to undergo treatment.
The palace has provided few details about the king’s diagnosis other than confirming that it was discovered during a recent surgery to treat an enlarged prostate.
Both sons were informed of his diagnosis before the announcement.
The King and Queen smiled and waved as they left their London home, Clarence House, on Tuesday.
Prince Charles and Prince Harry spoke for about 45 minutes before the king departed on a flight to Sandringham.
The Duchess of Sussex plans to remain in the United States to live with her two young children.
The BBC understands that Prince Harry has no plans to meet his brother, the Prince of Wales, during his visit to London.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak previously told BBC Radio 5 Live that the king’s cancer was “caught early” and that he was still in “regular contact” with the monarch.
He said weekly audiences would continue to take place during the king’s treatment.

It seems Prince Harry rushed from California to visit his father in the UK quite quickly.
There were already signs that the family was growing closer, with the 39-year-old duke speaking to the king by phone on his birthday last fall.
However, there was no sign that Prince Harry or Duchess Meghan were heading to Christmas or any family gathering. Up until now, they have been a world apart from other royal families.
As reported in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, tensions within the royal family are not so much between him and the King as between him and his brother, the Prince of Wales, and are exacerbated by tabloid excesses. It seems like it is.
So Prince Harry’s recent visit to the UK has been more about the court than the royal court.
But even before this latest health news, Harry and Meghan, who live in the upscale California community of Montecito, were apparently planning more projects and trips.
They were in Jamaica for a movie premiere and said they were planning to go to Canada later this month for an event related to the Invictus Games. The trip is expected to continue.
King Charles’ cancer diagnosis
Prince Harry’s younger brother Prince William has yet to comment publicly on the king’s diagnosis.
Prince William is expected to take over some of his father’s duties in the monarch’s absence, but the palace insists the monarch will continue to carry out his official constitutional duties.
The Prince, who had stepped down after the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery last month, had already been scheduled to return to royal duties this week.
The King’s niece, Princess Beatrice, was seen arriving at Clarence House on Tuesday morning.
