‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ has been captivating students, parents and teachers for the past six years.
New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appealed to students to maintain a balanced lifestyle and develop a healthy competitive spirit. Addressing parents at the annual ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme, he stressed the need to create a ‘gadget-free zone’ in the home and encourage families to have quality education without the interference of technology. He advocated spending quality time.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of ‘recharging’ not only electronic devices but also our bodies, drawing attention to the correlation between mobile phones needing to be charged and individuals needing proper sleep. “If you need to charge your phone, you should also charge your body. Getting proper sleep is also very important for that,” he said.
“There should be a ‘gadget-free zone’ in your home. When you are sitting at the dining table with your family, you should not use your phone for communication,” he added.
The Prime Minister explained that there are three types of stress in students – those caused by peer pressure, those caused by parents, and those that are self-induced.
“Children sometimes feel pressure on themselves that their performance is not up to the standard. I recommend setting small goals during preparation and gradually increasing their performance. That way you will be fully prepared by the time of the exam,” he said.
Prime Minister Modi described the students as shaping India’s future and said the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program was like a test for him as well.
Speaking on the seventh episode of an outreach program for students ahead of exams, he said students were becoming more innovative than ever.
“Students will shape our future,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Organized by the Ministry of Education, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ has been engaging students, parents and teachers for the past six years.
