Manager Mikel Arteta has said Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are likely to be in Arsenal’s squad when they host Brentford on Saturday.
Both forwards were substituted in Monday’s 6-0 win over Sheffield United, with Martinelli injured and Saka unwell.
“We are very positive that they can be part of it. But we will have to wait and see,” Arteta told reporters on Thursday.
Arsenal sit third in the Premier League with 61 points, two points behind leaders Liverpool, and will face defending champions Manchester City, who are second on 62 points, on Sunday.

Arteta said Arsenal, who have won seven consecutive league games, need to focus on maintaining their own momentum rather than the results of their title rivals.
“We just need to focus on our game and try to win. And on Sunday it should be a beautiful game for any supporter,” he said.
“I’m going to enjoy watching the two best teams in Europe. I’m going to sit there with my kids and enjoy the game.”
Brentford, who are 15th on 26 points, performed well in their home game against Arsenal in November, with Kai Havertz scoring the winner for the visitors in the 89th minute.
“We know what we want and what Brentford demand from us to win the game…We always struggle against Brentford,” Arteta said.
