Shopping on beauty sites has become commonplace, but having something delivered to your door can make your life even easier.
Of course, concealers and foundations need to be color matched in-store, but for all your other skin and makeup needs, just search, add to your online bag, click and pay.
It is therefore with great sadness that on April 3, 2024, we will be saying goodbye to our favorite online store that we have relied on for many years.
beauty website

Buying beauty products online has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, but the combined effects of coronavirus and Brexit (mostly the latter) can make things a bit difficult at times. As the UK is currently outside the EU, many people are now hit with customs duties even though they shopped as usual on the site.
To solve this dilemma, many sites have relocated to places like Belgium and Luxembourg to make shopping easier and painless for European shoppers. The beauty site to be shut down was based in Jersey and had always been in Europe, as it prepaid shoppers’ duties.
statement

The beauty website that will be closing its virtual doors after 19 years is FeelUnique, whose site reads: “After 19 years of FeelUnique, we regret to inform you that we will be closing down on April 3, 2024. Since 2005, we have… We have aimed to deliver to you.” A space of beauty that you can call your own, a place where you can let your individuality shine. ”
At FeelUnique, I was able to purchase hard-to-find brands such as Color Wow, By Terry, Gucci, Givenchy, Mario Badescu, and Milk Makeup. Some of these are currently available on other sites, but there’s a small glimmer of hope that something different might happen after April 3rd.
sephora

In 2021, Sephora paid an undisclosed amount to FeelUnique. Whatever it is, it seems very strange that all of their stores would be closed considering the amount of products that FeelUnique has in their warehouses.
Sephora UK caters to British beauty fans, but does not sell to Irish customers. If you’re betting on that, a rebrand is likely on the table. FeelUnique’s beauty website will be relaunched as his Sephora in Europe, but it’s too soon as we’ve been hoping for it for years. We’ll have to wait until April to find out, but everyone was surprised.
