Dozens of police hunting the Clapham chemical attacker raided an east London flat where the suspect’s brother is said to live, evacuating shocked neighbors and questioning them at 2am.
Officers told residents: “We’re looking for someone. It’s not safe to be there. Just in case there’s any danger you should be aware of.”
Police named Abdul Ezzedi as the man they were tracking. A woman and her two daughters were hit with a corrosive substance. in Claphamsouth London, Wednesday night.
The suspect is believed to have suffered severe burns during the attack before fleeing.
Police questioned residents of an apartment they raided early Friday in East. London: “Have you ever seen a man with an injured eye?”

In an audio recording of the attack obtained by Sky News, officers can be heard waking up residents and ordering them to leave the small block of Leytonstone.
One person says: “Show me your hands. How many of you are there? Come out slowly, put your hands on your head, and walk towards me. One by one, move to the right and keep going.”
“We’re police officers and we have a search warrant out for this address. We’re looking for someone. It’s dangerous to be there.”
The residents were questioned in a police car parked nearby and then returned to their apartments. It is believed that the suspect’s younger brother was among them, but he claimed that he has not been able to contact him recently.
Video footage obtained by Sky News showed dozens of police officers in protective suits and gas markings preparing for the attack at a police station several miles from the apartment complex.
Police, firefighters and paramedics drove in convoy to the address off Leytonstone High Road.
A decontamination shower was installed on the road outside the building, but no corrosive substances appear to have been detected.
Later, damage was seen to the door of the apartment complex where police broke into.
