A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in east London on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to Hackney Road, Shoreditch, near the junction with Kremer Street, at around 10.50pm on Saturday.
The boy was found with stab wounds and died at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist police officers.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway of the Metropolitan Police said: “My condolences go out to the family of the young man who tragically lost his life.

“We can assure them that we will work relentlessly to identify the perpetrators of this murder.
“A cordon has been put in place on Hackney Road for a forensic examination of the scene and we have launched a very thorough investigation, with support from experts from across the Met.
“Local people will also be taking part in extra patrols in Shoreditch. If you have any concerns or information, please speak to a police officer. They will be there to support you.”
A post-mortem examination and formal identification have not yet been carried out.
