Police are investigating a London Victoria bus crash that killed a 56-year-old woman. It comes three years after another pedestrian was killed outside the station.
Land and air emergency services struggled to save the pedestrian, but he died at the scene around 9am. Her family was informed of her death.
The 46-year-old woman driving the bus was taken to hospital, but has since been released.

“One person was taken to hospital and another patient was examined and discharged.
“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of our team, one person was confirmed dead at the scene.”
London Mayor Sadiq Khan called today’s accident a “terrible tragedy”.
“I heard the tragic news that a pedestrian lost his life in an accident,” he said.
“My thoughts are with the family and it is vital that they are the first to know about this tragedy. A full investigation is underway.
“I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say our thoughts and prayers are with this person’s family.”
Three years before today’s tragic events, Melissa Barr, from Rainham, Kent, was murdered outside Victoria Station.
Olusofa Popoola, 61, killed a 32-year-old man on his way to work outside a London station by hitting the gas instead of the brake.
Popoola accidentally accelerated and crashed into the back of a stopped bus, hitting Barr, who died from multiple injuries.
Popoola continued to accelerate for six seconds after colliding with the bus in front of him. He said he mistakenly pressed the brake pedal for the gas pedal.
Mr Popoola, a married father of four from Peckham, south-east London, admitted causing Mr Barr’s death by careless driving.
He told the jury that he had accidentally stepped on the gas pedal.
As a result of the retrial, he was acquitted of the felony charges of causing death by dangerous driving and seriously injuring the other driver.
Another passerby today said he had used the bus stop many times and was unfazed by the couple’s tragic deaths.
The 28-year-old added: “I still feel safe here.” It happens. It’s really scary, but accidents happen all the time.
“Bus drivers are humans too and make mistakes. Sometimes terrible things happen.”
Operator RATP Dev Transit London confirmed it was investigating the fatal crash.
A spokesperson said: “Emergency services are on scene and our team will be working closely with the relevant authorities to assess the circumstances of the incident.”
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the pedestrian who sadly passed away.”
